Over the past month, development on Unknown City RP has been progressing steadily across multiple areas of the project. From major map expansions to core system fixes, we’ve been focused on building a more stable, polished, and content-rich foundation as we move into open beta testing.
This blog will walk you through the key updates, what’s changed, what’s been fixed, and what we’re currently working on behind the scenes.
Map Expansion & World Updates
Cayo Perico & Roxwood Arrive
On 20th October, two major map additions were introduced:
- Cayo Perico Island
- Roxwood Island
These new areas dramatically expand the world of UKCRP, adding more exploration opportunities, roleplay zones, and space for future systems and events.
Roxwood has since received multiple updates as we continue refining its layout and integrating new content introduced by the latest version.
Main Map & Minimap Fixes
Throughout October, we investigated several issues affecting the map systems:
- The main map failing to load for some players
- The mini-map breaking around the Paleto Bay area
Both issues have now been resolved after targeted debugging, with Paleto’s minimap issue confirmed not to be caused by Roxwood.
We’ve also updated our map data to include all new Roxwood expansion areas, keeping the UI fully in sync with the world.
Systems, Fixes, and Improvements
Client Input Issues
A major issue preventing players from using their keyboard was identified on the 21st and fully resolved on the 22nd. This was caused by a blocking input loop within one of the UI components.
Fuel Script Stability
Our Fuel Script temporarily stopped working and required a full internal investigation.
As of 22nd Oct, the script has been repaired and is functioning normally.
Gameplay Additions
We also implemented:
- Trunk Script — improves vehicle inventory interactions
- Seat Shuffle Script — prevents unwanted seat switching
Both will enhance general quality of life while driving or roleplaying.
Vehicle System Fixes
On 22nd November, we resolved:
- Issues with LVC (Luxart Vehicle Control)
- Several police motorcycles not spawning or loading their emergency lighting setups
Two bikes still require lightbar adjustments and will receive dedicated fixes in an upcoming update.
Tebex & Server Infrastructure
We have begun rolling out updates to the UKCRP FiveM Tebex Store, preparing it for the city’s upcoming content packages, supporter options, and new product structure.
This work will continue alongside gameplay development.
Loading Screen & Audio Integration
As of 20th November, UKCRP now has its official loading screen implemented — complete with three original songs created specifically for the server.
This adds atmosphere, branding, and a unique identity the moment players connect.
Beta Testing Has Officially Begun
With core systems stabilizing and map updates now in place, we have opened Beta Testing to the community.
This phase will:
- Allow players to experience new features as we add them
- Help us identify bugs faster
- Provide direct community-driven feedback for improvements
- Ensure systems scale properly before full release
Beta testing will remain open and active as development continues.
What’s Next
We are currently focusing on:
- Finalizing the remaining police bike lighting issues
- Expanding map integration with new planned locations
- Stress-testing core systems with beta testers
- Adding new scripts and Vehicles to the server
- Refining UI elements and player interaction systems
- Preparing future features that will roll out during beta
More dev blogs will follow as we continue pushing forward with major updates.
